1 x 4 = 4

2 x 2 = 4

4 x 1 = 4

· Factors of 6 : 1, 2, 3 and 6

1 x 6 = 6

2 x 3 = 6

3 x 2 = 6

6 x 1 = 6

· Factors of 12 : 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6

1 x 12 = 12

1. Find the common Multiples and Common Factors of 6 and 9!

Multiples of 6 : 6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48,54,…,etc

Multiples of 9 : 9,18,27,36,45,54,…,,…,etc

The common Multiples of 6 and 9 are 18, 36, and 54

Factors of 6 : 1,2,3 and 6 Factors of 9 : 1,3 and 9

1 x 6 = 6 1 x 9 = 9

2 x 3 = 6 3 x 3 = 9

3 x 2 = 6 9 x 1 = 9

6 x 1 = 6

The common Factors of 6 and 9 are 1 and 3

2. Find the common Multiples and Common Factors of 24 and 36!

Multiples of 24 : 24,48,72,96,108,…,etc

Multiples of 36 : 36,72,108,…,etc

The common Multiples of 24 and 36 are 72 and 108

Factors of 24 : 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24 Factors of 36 : 1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,36
